Divisional Playoffs: Picks Against the Spread

Saints @ Seahawks -7.5 — O/U 45.5

I have a feeling that the Saints are not looking forward to this game. The Seahawks are a much more physical team and the result from their last meeting was not just a case of catching a team at the wrong time. The Saints were dominated. The last time the Saints played in the playoffs at Seattle, Drew Brees and Sean Payton were embarrassed by what many felt was an inferior team. That, however, was the springboard for this Seattle team… and the upward spiral continues. The continued maturation of Russell Wilson has been the finishing touch to the most complete team in the NFL this season.

I look for the Seahawks defense to throttle the Saints offense. This game may well be played in the rain, and the O/U line has changed as a result. I’ll lay the wood — like the Seahawks will do to the Saints — with Seattle -7.5.
