Lists. Can’t live with ’em, can’t live without ’em. That goes for all sports, NFL included. We find them subjectivity nauseating… yet the reward of team-wide, or in this case individual player recognition makes us giddy like it’s Christmas morning.

89 names have been revealed in the NFL Network top-100 players of 2014, and there still hasn’t been a Giants player tabbed since Antrel Rolle at #72. While the rankings aren’t necessarily alleged to reflect football reality, Giants defensive end Jason Pierre Paul has not been impressed with the selection process. To quote JPP’s instagram account:

"“Now WTF is wrong with this list? Don’t get me wrong all these guys are great players, but come on now! I see a lot of players who’s not on this list that should be, but that’s none of my business ☕️"

Following the Giants Super Bowl XLVI rampage, JPP slotted in at a cool #24 on the NFL’s 2012 list. And rightfully so. Now… it appears he’s berating the quality exclusions to the list rather than fighting for his own inclusion, but given his past two campaigns, Pierre-Paul would be best served to let his on-field performance do the talking.

Speaking of slights, we once again present you Eli Manning! ESPN Insider journalist, Mike Sando, created quarterback tiers using NFL-wide input from “eight general managers, two former GMs, four pro personnel evaluators, seven coordinators, two head coaches, two position coaches and a top executive”. The results on Eli’s status weren’t pretty:

"“He is really a two when you supply him with the right weapons,” a head coach said. “He is a guy that has the ultimate trust in a big wide receiver.”“I see Eli having a hard time generating things on his own,” one GM said. “I don’t see a great decision-maker. He has never struck me as a take-charge, carry-the-team type of guy.”“Eli can go from a championship quarterback to throwing five interceptions in one game,” an offensive coordinator said."

Suffice it so say, if Eli Manning doesn’t enter 2014 with a chip on his shoulder, he probably never will. He is getting absolutely slaughtered in the national media. And speaking of Eli, don’t miss our friendly battle with Predominately Orange and Naptown’s Finest. Since all Eli news is currently iffy, why not something positive and a little fun:
