Quarterback Matchup:

Eli Manning vs Ryan Fitzpatrick?
This really isn’t the most serious of battles, unless you consider that Ryan Fitzpatrick’s beard is very Civil War style battlesque’…

You may not think that’s appropriate, but have you seen this beard? People say it’s almost Lorax-like in nature…

Looks aside, it’s NFL game day and the matchup is what it is. Eli Manning’s face vs Ryan Fitzpatrick’s beard. Okay, perhaps that’s meaningless, but this entire game will be that and pointless if Eli Manning can’t stop from turning the ball over.

Your fearless leader is taking $20.4 million off the books for the Giants this season. That’s a lot of cash to throw a pick in every game and not win… Eli Manning needs to get it together and he simply can’t afford to lose to Ryan Fitzpatrick and his classic beardy-beard to send the Giants to 0-3.

That will be a disaster. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a journeyman QB on the team that had the worst record in football just last season… the New York Football Giants can beat this team. The Lorax has 29 wins in his career to 49 losses and sure, Mr. Harvard has one tie, but who cares. We all know Ryan Fitzpatrick is well-educated human being, no doubt, but NFL history has proven that his QB skills are sub-par.

  • Make no mistake, this is a winnable matchup for Eli Manning, whom has won a lot more NFL games (85) than Ryan Fitzpatrick. Regardless of the paper advantage that Eli has over Ryan in every category but beard, the Giants are still terrible this year with Eli Manning under center.

For today’s contest, that must change, Eli must take chances, keep his feet, command his line and score more points than the Houston Texans. There can be no turnovers, there can be no bad passes, there can be few mistakes and penalties or the Giants will be 0-3 and Ryan’s beard will be full of 3-0 win.

The pressure is on Eli to step it up today, pocket the crazy faces, curb the turnovers and execute this new offense and win because he’s a better QB than Ryan Fitzpatrick. If Eli fails today, it will be harder and harder to justify all those Manning’ millions.
