If we’re being honest, the New York Giants are fully stocked at wide receiver. The 2015 NFL draft though has some tempting receivers. Doing our due diligence let’s compare Kevin White to Amari Cooper.

Kevin White is possibly the next Calvin Johnson. White has a big and strong 6-3 frame and off the charts speed. When you consider the 4.35 40 yard dash you must admit his talents amaze.

White had 109 receptions for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2014. Practically out of nowhere, White became a superstar. He had to go to a Junior College before heading to Morgantown to be a West Virginia Mountaineer.

More from NY Giants Draft

Amari Cooper is the more polished receiver prospect. He is a precision route runner, who understands how to get open against man and zone defenses. Cooper compares to Odell Beckham Jr. who the Giants drafted 12th overall last year.

Cooper is the safer pick because he is so NFL ready. He consistently displayed his unbelievable skill in his three seasons at Alabama.

Cooper had over 1,000 yards receiving in two out of three seasons at Alabama. In 2014 Cooper had a mind blowing 124 receptions, 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Most people have Kevin White going to the Oakland Raiders wit the fourth overall pick. This is not a guarantee however, Leonard Williams could be in play at the 4th slot in the draft.

White will be the first receiver taken because he is the best athlete at the position. Talent always trumps polish. Cooper could be available when the Giants look to cash in their 9th pick overall.

You cannot go wrong with either receiver. Both players should be superstars in the NFL for a very long time.
