Eli Manning: Finally Getting Elite Recognition

Eli Manning ranked ninth in NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks top ten quarterbacks list. Why is this surprising? Because most analysts do not consider Manning to be all that great. They say he’s nothing more than average. Well, Manning can’t be anything more than average when he ranked above his brother, Peyton Manning, who came in at number 10.

Manning is finally getting the high recognition he needs. For years, Manning has been highly underrated by the NFL media analysts for his shaky play. Now it’s understandable at specific times when he does play awful, but everyone is entitled to a bad year.

Manning bounced back in a major way in 2014 with loads of room to improve. During last year’s offseason, critics were talking about the New York Giants cutting Manning. They claimed that Manning had to played many years in former offensive coordinators Kevin Gilbride’s offense and that he couldn’t learn a whole different system in 2014. They said he wouldn’t adapt and it would lead to his downfall. Well look at how that turned out.

Manning put up numbers similar to the year that he won Super Bowl XLVI. In this upcoming season, he will now have Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham both on the field at the same time. Imagine what he would be able to do then? The sky is the limit.

Things are only looking up for Manning and it’s important to see that NFL analysts are finally starting to notice it to. Hopefully all of this leads to a huge contract extension for Manning, cemented his status as one of the leagues top tier and top paid quarterbacks.
