Training camp is one of the most interesting times of the NFL year. A new entourage of players emerge onto the scene. Some can handle the grind of the NFL and some can’t. It is a time for players to make a name for themselves and fulfill their dreams of being on a NFL roster. In a make or break year for this New York Giants’ team, there can be no mistakes.

Players like Matt LaCosse, Jerome Cunningham, and Akeem Hunt are going to all have to fight for their survival on the roster. These players are just starting their careers, so it’s kind of ironic that Victor Cruz is almost in the same position as them. He has to prove he can play on the same level he used to.

As we all know, Cruz is coming off of a torn patella. That is an injury that could end his career and the Giants are very aware of that. He is going to have to fight his way back into the limelight once again. This is no easy task because Ben McAdoo is starting to have plenty of receiving options.

Jerry Reese and Tom Coughlin have some pretty special plans up their sleeve for 2015. With an offense that is just ready to boom and a defense that needs some work, it’s going to be really difficult getting both sides of the ball in sync. Here are five things every New York Giants’ fan should know going into training camp.
