The New York Giants are 2-2 with a lot of momentum going into week 5. The Giants are about to play the Eagles in a big Monday Night Football clash but before they do, let’s look at the 5 big statistics from the first quarter of the season. They say that numbers never lie and these numbers tell you a pretty impressive story.

Let’s lay the ground work to this story. The Giants have had a fourth quarter lead in every game they have played. In the first two weeks they let the game slip away. In the last two weeks the Giants have finished what they have started. They have climbed out of their 0-2 hole and now are part of a three way tie on top of the NFC East.

The Giants have gotten steady performances from the offense and they are hoping to take it to the next level. The defense has rebounded from their awful 2014 campaign. It hasn’t been perfect and at times it has been bad, but the defense is obviously improved this season. So let’s see what these stats are telling us at the quarter poll of the NFL season.
