New York Giants: Can They Really Make Noise In the Playoffs?

facebooktwitterreddit

The New York Giants had the chance to rest up during their bye week.  It is always good to have a late bye week so that some key players can recover from a grueling season.

Prince Amukamara returned to practice and is expected to play this Sunday.  Since the Giants gained some key players back, it’s time to think about the impact they could make in the postseason. If the Giants manage to make the playoffs, can they really make as much noise as some think?

The answer is yes and no. The Giants aren’t hot right now and they tend to get hot at this point in the season. They always struggle in the first half of the season and gain momentum come the end of November. It’s like clockwork for this team over the past couple of years.

If the Giants can capture the same chemistry they had against the New England Patriots, they definitely can make an impact. All the Giants have to do is really make the playoffs and the rest is history. They come up huge in key moments as most Giants’ fans know all too well.

Most people don’t believe in moral wins, but the loss against the Patriots was very important. The Giants now know they can play with the big boys in the league. They basically had them beat the whole entire game. If it wasn’t for the NFL’s crazy catch rules, they would have had that game in the bag

The Giants know that fact just as well as their fans do. They could easily contend with teams like the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers if the defense that limited Tom Brady to his lowest point total in the first half of a game this season shows up.
