Eli vs Peyton
By Staff

Elite Manning is not Peyton Manning (yet), and I understand they are two different players and two different people. It is unfair for critics to try to judge Eli based on his brother as it is rare two siblings both become starting QBs in the NFL. When you think about it…there are 32 starting QBs in the NFL in the world. What are the chances two of the 32 come from the same family?
Here is a comparison of the two brothers after their first three seasons in the NFL:
Eli’s numbers are on the left. Eli has a 29-19 regular season record and 3-2 playoff record through three full seasons as the starter.
Peyton’s numbers are on the right. Peyton had a 26-22 regular season record and an 0-2 playoff record in his first three seasons.
Peyton obviously had the better start to his career, personal stats wise, as the only category he stumbled in his rookie season was INT with 28. However, Peyton was never the backup in his career, started games at a much earlier age than Eli, and revolutionized the way QBs are viewed, evaluated, and now drafted.
