Giants May Look At Pennington?

The NY Daily News is reporting the Giants may be looking for a backup.  Ralph Vacchiano is reporting the Giants may have interest in recently released Chad Pennington:

"“We take a look at everybody that’s out there,” [GM Jerry Reese] said after the Giants’ preseason-opening 13-10 loss to the Lions. “That includes [Chad}.”"

This report was filed after last night’s preseason game, but you have to wonder wether David Carr‘s performance changes thing.  The former number one overall pick was crisp last night, and you have to be excited by what he can do behind a substantial offensive line. 

It would be a great story for Chad to just change locker rooms, but this looks like just talk.
