Reports From Seattle

Dan O’Neil from the Seattle Times has posted the following on his Seahawks Blog:

“Coach Mike Holmgren expects to have his full 53-man roster on the practice field on Wednesday afternoon, including running back Maurice Morris and backup quarterback Seneca Wallace. Deion Branch and Bobby Engram are the two returnees seen as an immediate boost to an offense so strapped for hands at receiver that Seattle signed two players who weren’t with an NFL team and traded for Keary Colbert.”

And Frank Hughes from The News Tribune had this to say on his blog, Seawhawks Insider:

“Mike Holmgren said he expects everybody who has not been practicing in recent weeks to practice today, including Mo Morris. However, he still was wary about saying Morris will play against the Giants. As for the receivers, he said he will have to wait to see how they practice this week to determine what exactly is going to happen there, including any roster moves. He can’t answer how he will use guys until he sees how much they have improved from their respective injuries. Keep in mind that Michael Bumpus is the punt returner, so that factors into the roster decision.”

And Clare Farnsworth spoke about the wide receiver situation on his blog, Talkin’ Hawks:

Koren Robinson practiced Monday, it’s just that he was working behind Billy McMullen at split end and got less reps than Bobby Engram, Deion Branch, Keary Colbert and McMullen. Robinson still doesn’t look “right,” not surprising since he’d been out of the game since the Packers released him in May and he tweaked a knee in his first practice with the Seahawks.”
