My bad

It was my fault the G-Men fell on Sunday night. And for that I’m sorry.

The last four Giants home games I’ve been to, the team has shit the bed like no other. It started out with Tiki’s last home game — a 30-7 shellacking at the hands of the Saints on Christmas Eve in ’06. That was painful. Then it carried over to the 41-17 Vikings triumph the next season (however, with the way that season played out I have no reason to complain). And finally, the past two Eagles games at the Meadowlands I was at, and you know how those played  out.

It seems I’m Bad Luck Guy. Dammit.

It sucks my last memory in Giants Stadium is a game that Big Blue scored 38 points and lost…to the cock-sucking Eagles! At the very least it was a good game, but there’s no question Sheridan has got to go (although not everyone agrees). When you put up 38 points and can’t find a way to win, someone’s gotta go. And it’s not the offense’s fault. McNabb had all the time in the world, the Giants finagled just one sack. DeSean Jackson was wide open all night, having his way with the secondary. They did manage to stop the run, holding the Iggs to 77 yards on 24 attempts, but when the receivers are wide open every frickin’ time there’s not much you can do. It was simply an ugly game for the banged-up Giants secondary.

There were some bright spots, as Manning had a hell of a game. He put up gaudy numbers: 27-of-38 for 391 yards and three scores. I’ll take that. The running backs were solid at points but couldn’t put together a full game, while Nicks and Hixon made ridiculous TD catches — both over 60 yards.

It seems McKenzie will be out two weeks. However, all hope is not lost as somebody still believes in the Giants’ playoff hopes.

The G-Men still do have a realistic shot at the postseason; they should beat the ‘Skins on Monday night, they should take care of business in the Giants Stadium finale and if the Vikes already have shit locked up in the final week they could be pushovers. Couple that with the way Dallas chokes on a fat cock every December, and 10-6 should get NY in the tournament.

But even if they do weasel their way in, with the way the D is playing they’ll get bounced in the first round. Click here to see how I think this season will play out.
