Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger had the report yesterday that WR Hakeen Nicks sustained a knee injury yesterday afternoon in practice. Although Nicks was later reported to play it down after he was examined, the MRI results are expected to be released this morning for the official medical word on the subject. Yesterday reports said:
"Nicks hyper-extended the joint, which means it was bent the opposite way it’s supposed to bend. Nicks will undergo an MRI Tuesday night. Nicks was able to walk under his own power but was carted off to the locker room."
Garafolo tweeted late last night after Nicks was examined:
"Giants’ Hakeem Nicks doesn’t believe he suffered a severe knee injury"
We’ll have to wait for the MRI results to be sure though, which is expected to come at some point this morning.
