The Good News: Once again, the Giants are underdogs as the majority picked against them at home for their stadium debut.
The Bad News: PureIy based on what was shown I can see why, the footage of the awful run defense and offensive line issues from last year are a sobering reminder of what the Giants are up against this week. Not only are the Giants going up against an NFC rival that packs a serious punch, but the Giants also battling themselves.
My take: What about all the details that were left out of this video clip? The Giants have a completely revamped defense (Peter King of Sports Illustrated says the Giants have the best pass rush of any team in the NFL this year), a re-energized offensive line that has depth to boot, a new lineup at running back with Ahmad Bradshaw leading the charge, and another year under the belts of Eli Manning working with a good group of young receivers — not a whole lot of negatives to focus on. Just a lot of questions. NFL focused primarily on last year to do their analysis — big mistake… but thanks for underestimating them once again. I think the Giants come away with a big win at home in the NMS this afternoon. 24-17 Giants.
