Giants Roundtable Discussion (Week 2)

Once again, I took part in a weekly discussion / preview of the Giants upcoming game over at GiantsGab.com

In this case the game is a nationally televised game Sunday night, and the opponent of course is Eli’s big brother, yup…. the Sheriff and the Colts. Check it out here: http://www.giantsgab.com/2010/09/16/giants-roundtable-2-manning-bowl-part-deux/

Here’s a tidbit:

"Mirror the big play abilities of the Texans’ RB Arian Foster for starters.  33 carries for 231 yards and 3 TDs is something that should speak volumes to the Giants… that is the kind of stat line that appeals to Coughlin and Gilbride as priority A. The Colts, however, are going to look to address that weakness this week in their preparations, so Priority B for the Giants is to stay multi-dimensional.  Eli Manning has shown comfort and confidence in taking 1-1 chances to the outside when the defense gets aggressive, I look for that to continue this week. With the way the Texans were also able to distribute the ball when they needed to through the air as needed, it took less than 100 yards net passing and not turnovers for Schaub to get the job done. If Eli and his receivers can tighten up their turnovers this week, stay with the run, get some blocking from their line early — this game is won by the Giants on the ground."
