Can I suggest talking to the St. Louis Rams for picks and if possible, Steven Jackson? He’s used to playing behind a sub-par offensive line and still gets it done without tantrums…

"According to a reliable source, RB Brandon Jacobs will approach Giants management (GM Jerry Reese) today and ask to be traded. This comes in the wake of a tumultuous night for Jacobs during the team’s 38-14 walloping in Indianapolis. He only carried the ball four times and after one particularly unimpressive east-west run heard about it from coach Tom Coughlin.“Enough of that east-west stuff, you have to head north at sometime,” Coughlin said after the game. After the dressing down from Coughlin, Jacobs said he tried to fling his helmet into the bench and it became stuck on the tape of his small finger. So instead it flew into the crowd. He did not play anymore after that.Coughlin said he was not aware of the helmet incident and did not bench Jacobs because of it. The Giants were in their catch-up mode at the time and Ahmad Bradshaw, not Jacobs, is the back in that package.Jacobs apologized to the fans and after the game issued a formal apology to the media for the helmet fling. But when asked if he thought if he was benched because of it, he blew up at Newsday reporter Tom Rock, claiming he had already answered the question. He hadn’t.After he calmed down he apologized to Rock and answered the questionIt was evident from early on in training camp that the Giants had decided Bradshaw, after surgeries on his feet and ankle, was going to be their No. 1 running back. In two games Bradshaw has carried 37 times for 165 yards, Jacobs just 16 for 52. With D.J. Ware still around the Giants may be able to part with a clearly unhappy Jacobs and either re-sign free agent Gartrell Johnson, try to sign Andre Brown off the Denver practice squad or look somewhere else for a No. 3 back."
