Tiki Comes Off Tacky

Via Yahoo Sports Video:

Tiki Barber is sounding off on Tom Coughlin once again, this time he’s telling the mainstream sports media that the coach is letting his control of the team slip away. Barber said:

"“I don’t know if he’s completely lost control of the team, but it’s definitely slipping awa. Right now, Tom Coughlin is at a crisis.  His job is certainly in jeopardy.”"

The host later in the segment proclaimed – “You might need to come out of retirement, there’s no running game.” Not to discriminate against which former teammates he would throw under the bus, Barber simply said:

"“I can’t tell you how many people have told me that.”"

I know its meaningless banter. No one is serious.  But let me tell you something that should be perfectly clear now and is quite serious, these people in the mainstream sports media have not watched a single minute of Giants football this season that wasn’t a pre-prepared clip.  Not one minute of actual game footage.

“There’s no running game…” –  THEY’RE AVERAGING OVER 100 YARDS PER GAME ON THE GROUND.

“You might need to come out of retirement…” –  THEY WON THE SUPERBOWL WITHOUT HIM

“There’s no running game…” –  ESPN HAS AHMAD BRADSHAW AS THE #6 RUNNING BACK IN THE LEAGUE.

“You might need to come out of retirement…” –  MAYBE TALK ABOUT THE OFFENSIVE LINE AND TIGHT END INJURY ISSUES INSTEAD.

“I can’t tell you how many people have told me that.” –  I CAN’T BELIEVE MY FLIPPING EARS!!!

You want to talk about Eli Manning and why this team appeared desperate with the left handed throw?  Talk about 4 tipped balls that were extremely catchable that went for INTs.

You want to talk about a so-called lack of running game when that opinion doesn’t jive with the stats, nor the fact that the entire offensive line is still getting back on track from injuries, surgeries, and an entire preseason without playing together?

You want to talk about ball security Tiki?  And in the same breath criticize Coughlin’s message not resonating with players?

REALLY?!?!
