"The team signed the Quebec native to its practice squad Tuesday, releasing former Penn State offensive lineman Dennis Landolt to make room for Giguere.Giguere had 94 receptions in his career at the University of Sherbrooke. He was selected eighth overall in the 2008 CFL draft but signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent. Giguere spent the entire 2008 season on Indianapolis’ practice squad. Last season, he was on and off the team’s practice squad until being added to the active roster before the Week 17 matchup with the Bills. Giguere dressed against Buffalo but did not record a reception. He was inactive for all three of the team’s postseason games."

"This is a put-away game for the Giants. They’re not saying it, but they know it. The Cowboys at 1-4 are teetering, and one more push will bury them so far down in the NFC East that not even a Chilean rescue capsule could unearth them. Already, Tony Romo is calling his team “snake-bit” and defensive end Marcus Spears lamented, “Right now we have the worst luck in football.” There’s a fraying around this fragile club — one swift kick by the Giants and it all shatters."

"“This is the game of football,’’ Rolle said. “This is a game of speed. This is a game of power. This is a game of physical guys going to battle. Once you start saying to guys ‘You’ll get suspended for a game,’ that’s when you’re going to get a very, very tentative football game.“And you know, it’s fine for the offensive players but I’m on the defensive side of the ball. So are you telling me that now I have to slow down? I think we’re already being cautious of what we’re doing and how we’re attacking the ball or how we’re trying to make a tackle. I think that’s absolutely ridiculous because under any circumstances you can’t just absolutely have control over your body when you’re pursuing a tackle.”"
