We wanted to see it all season, now we’ve got it. Shawn Andrews will be starting again at left tackle to face the Cowboys in New Meadowlands Stadium this Sunday.
The circumstances aren’t exactly ideal, however, with Center Shaun O’Hara sidelined with a foot sprain. David Diehl is of course out with a partially torn hamstring, and Kevin Booth fresh off the PUP list will be coming in to play left guard for the first time since training camp. Rookie Mitch Petrus will likely be the backup, who played one series with the Giants last week against Seattle.

"Andrews impressed Coughlin but believes his first step in pass sets could have been better and quicker. He was so worried about the Qwest Field noise and the silent count that he psyched himself out of getting a good jump off the ball. But the second step and those that followed were very good, thanks to his natural athletic ability.“It worked on Sunday,” Andrews said. “But it’s not going to work against every team or every quick defensive end I play against.”Especially Ware, who has eight sacks this season. Then again, that’s what he signed up for.“He’s powerful and he’s strong,” Andrews said. “It’s going to be a good challenge and I think it’ll be fun.”"
