"I’d love to know who was responsible for Jones on his screen-pass TD. The Giants were in man coverage (which was unfortunate for them because their corners had their back to the screen being set up) and no one went for Jones. It appeared both S Deon Grant and Phillips followed Witten away from the play. There seemed to be confusion before the snap on both the LB and S levels. Grant said someone was responsible but that player would have had to fight through a lot of traffic to get to him. It was just a great call, considering LB Michael Boley blitzed off the other side.Grant on that play: “They caught us with the perfect call. We tried something on defense and they dialed it up perfect. He went for seven-one. … And I knew it was coming, to be honest with you, because I saw something right before halftime. But in the situation we were in, I couldn’t do anything about it because I was playing man-on-man (on Witten). And I wanted so bad to switch it up and call but it was during a motion-and-stutter alignment. If they just had an alignment, I would have made sure to change it. … I tried to call (Boley) out of (his blitz), but on this level, if you miss your part, you’re letting the rest of those 10 guys down. He didn’t want to let those guys down so he rushed.”"
