Apparently, not everything is soaring in Philly. Andy Reid was reported to have chewed out Desean Jackson after the Bears beat the Eagles last night in Chicago. The topic of “discussion” apparently ranged from Jackson’s lack of effort in pre-game warmups and even during the game itself. Here is the quote from PFT this morning:
"Jackson reportedly sat at his locker with his head in his hands for at least 15 minutes after the incident, and was consoled by many of his teammates. Reid’s frustration reportedly started with a “loose pre-game demeanor” in which he didn’t take pre-game drills seriously. The deep threat also had a frustrating day on the field, catching only two passes for 26 yards. Jackson also appeared to have alligator arms on a late pass near the end zone."
I didn’t see much of the game, but all I know is that the Bears had a convincing win going for much of the game. They were beating the pants off the Eagles until the 4th quarter, and it leads me to firmly believe in that old axiom “Any Given Sunday” once again. Not many people picked the Bears to win that one, and the Bears sure showed they still have some teeth and claw left in them.
