Ex Redskin Devin Thomas to Play Skins For First Time

"My opinion on Thomas has always been he is a guy that needs to get out there on the field to really get going. Last season for the Redskins in my opinion he was showing signs of improvement in his route running and even put up a 100 yard receiving and 2 touchdown game against the Saints in week 13 last season. Honestly I felt he was poised for a breakout season this year but unfortunately I guess it was not meant to be this season."
I don’t know how much time Thomas can expect to get with Mario Manningham, Derek Hagan, Duke Calhoun, and Michael Clayton ahead of him in the pipeline. All I know is the Skins viewed him as a project player and for whatever reason he failed to impress the Shanahans. Odds are he will contribute to the Giants this year in a very limited role Sinorice Moss once obtained — the very back burner. It’s nothing against Thomas, but in my mind he was brought in for one reason – In Case Of Emergency.

Will Beatty Concludes Original Plan With LT Start

"“They wanted me here, the whole plan was to be left tackle,” Beatty said. and so If I’m not at LT it’s not going with the original plan. So for me am I doning what I need to be doing or are they using me at someplace else. It gives me the confidence that I’m going for a spot and I have to know all the positions but you have to be the master at this spot and a jack of all trades.”"
