Week 14 Picks: Most Expect Giants To Beat Vikings

facebooktwitterreddit

Well, the experts picked the Giants to beat the Vikings this week — in overwhelming fashion.  8 of 10 picks went to the Giants, and my man Mike Golic with the best winning percentage of any single human this year picked them to win.    The Accuscore Game Forecaster though has the Vikings coming away with a victory… hmm. Could it be because the Vikings have won most of the matchups between the two teams in recent years?  Perhaps.  The Vikings dominated the Gmen last year, and in 2008 barely squeeked out a win when Eli Manning and the first string team left the game midway through — Minnesota came back and won by mere point.

My take:

You know what they say about past performances though, it has nothing to do with what happens tomorrow.  And certainly not Sunday when the Giants take on the Vikings in Minnesota.

I think the Giants win this one in hostile territory, Eli Manning has a great game in the dome with his best 2 receivers back in action.  I think the defense shuts down AP and knocks out Brett Favre from the game in the first period.  Giants win handily.

Final score: 33 – 13 Giants
