"Think about this… after going +3 on the day in Washington why did the Giants only win by 3 points? Why were the Giants unable to score any points after Mario Manningham’s 92 yard TD reception? Why in the world were the Redskins able to have the ball back with minutes to play with a chance to win?The Giants final game against the Redskins was a microcosm of their season. Dominant for 3/4 of the way, but they were never quite able to close the door. What caused this trend for the team that at a time this season looked like the class of the NFC? Is the problem the offense, defense, special teams, coaching, play calling? Like anything complicated in life — the answer is not so cut and dry. And to say “a bit of everything” is a lousy answer, so I’ll do my best to unpack what I think caused the collapse of 2010 for the Giants. Maybe then we can find the cure for what exactly ails them…"
