Giants Attend Illinois Pro Day
By author

CBS Rob Rang’s draft blog mentioned that Perry Fewell was in attendance for Illinois pro-day. There are two players that the Giants could be very interseted in the upcoming April Draft.
The first is Martez Wilson, who ran the fastest 40 yard dash ever for a linebacker at the combine. He’s a physical specimen has tremendous upside, but according to a scout from a team not looking at linebackers Wilson looked bad in drills and like “he didn’t want to be there”
On the other hand: DT Corey Liuget, a personal favorite of Russ Lande of SN, has “one of the most impressive workouts I’ve ever seen for a Defensive linemen” according to a scout. Liuget is a powerful, athletic defensive tackle I’ve always thought as more of a second round prospect and not a first round prospect (where he usually is in mock drafts-and interestingly enough Rob Rang says the N.F.L. draft advisory committee said that Liuget had a 3rd round grade, but I digress).
Liuget was impressive and Perry Fewell was in attendance.
Mikel LeShoure a powerful, dynamic running back with good hands also had a good work out, but Perry Fewell was at the workout and not the Giants offesnsive staff.
Someone asked me a question about Casey Matthews and then Justin Houston and Mike Pouncey have visited with the Giants. I’ll do something for each of those players this weekend.
Any other players anyone’s intersted in let me know and I’ll write something up for them.
