Draft Week: Top OL Candidates

Conclusion

In terms of upside, Tyron Smith sure does stand out.  In terms of technique and character, Anthony Castonzo rises above all the others.  But when you closely examine all these prospects while considering that the Giants have a few injury-related unknowns going on in multiple positions along the OL I think they would look to draft the best player available that can play multiple positions in their system.  In concert with the uncertainty surrounding the new CBA and free agency that I think:

Mike Pouncey, C/G, Florida

…will be the first pick in the 2011 Draft for the Giants.
