Osi Is Soft Now… According to LeSean McCoy and NFL Panel

The Eagles RB LeSean McCoy has started the ball rolling calling Osi Umenyiora “soft” and at best the third best DL on the Giants. An NFL panel discusses in the video below:

Anyone ever hear of a knee injury taking more than one season to heal? Is it my imagination or did Warren Sapp bring up the Broncos game of Thanksgiving 2009 where the defense barely bothered to show up in the first place, and Osi was year 1 coming off his surgery? And a horrible defensive coordinator that refused to make adjustments calling the shots to boot… come on man you get paid the big bucks, get some perspective.

To me, that is a gross misrepresentation of what the facts were at the time… especially when you use that situation to agree with someone being “soft.” The rest of the panel had it closer to the point, and I think if anything Osi has proven himself to have come back just as strong as he was in 2007 this past year. Hell, he backed it up and then some. I saw him personally walk down the length of the field trash talking the Redskins, had to be pulled away from starting a fight actually, and on the next snap force another fumble and turnover.

Dude’s a beast, end of story – and the Giants better find a way to keep him in the rotation.
