Roger Goodell briefed the media about labor negotiations that were taking place yesterday, and the entire presser is posted here.
If you want to cut to the chase, here’s the short of it:
"we don’t have an agreement…we’re in the midst of a negotiation…there is an urgency for everybody to get this done…we’re working as hard as we possibly can…we’ll go the extra mile to try to reach that agreement."
Basically, no time tables and no specifics as to what the road ahead may bring. Goodell did say that they plan on playing a full season, that they’re working to reach an agreement by training camp crunch time (~mid July) but the reality is that it’s very difficult to take into consideration all the contingencies that 32 separate organizations and 1,800 players bring to the table.
