Finally, we get to your favorite ex-con and mine, Plaxico Burress. Giants fans everywhere mourned the loss of their star receiver when he was shipped off to prison. As his release date neared, they all began to get filled with promise and excitement. Of course, the lockout kept much of that anticipation at bay. Then it happened! Plax was released!

But wait! Wait! Could it be?!? Is Plax wearing a Philadelphia Phillies cap? Sadly, yes. That was something Giants fans were not expecting. We all were hopeful to see him back in BLUE. But that does not seem to be what fate has in store. Much to every Giants fan’s delight, he doesn’t seem to be heading to the eagles either.

In his 9 years with the NFL, Burress recorded 7,845 receiving yards and earned himself a Super Bowl Ring in SB XLII – not to mention the game winning catch. The circumstances that landed Plax in jail were unfortunate. He seemed to have turned a corner and gained a more positive attitude from his earlier days with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Plax WAS the least vocal of this bad boy bunch. But he is fresh out of prison and on the market. That makes him a prime candidate for this list. He has been voicing his opinions much more since he was released and that in and of itself probably did him more harm than good with the Giants organization. So, who wants to hire a 33 year old ex-con who hasn’t played football in over 2 years?

Are you new to the NFL and interested in being added to the “Bad Boys Of Free Agency” list? Simply, have a few good seasons. Then you will have earned the right to run your mouth, demand insane amounts of money, act like an ass on and off the field and by all means speak poorly of your team and teammates. I will be happy to add you to this list at no additional charge.
