The Giants chose not to pick an offensive lineman until the 4th round which should tell us that they do not feel it is an immediate concern. It would surprise me if the Giant’s jumped the shark and expended any significant percentage of their free agent cap money for a tackle as there are other more compelling needs, i.e. their own free agents. Players such as Danny Ware (RB), Kevin Boothe (G), Kevin Boss (TE), Ahmad Bradshaw (RB), Barry Cofield (DT), Derek Hagan (WR), Domenik Hixon (WR), Michael Johnson (S), Matthias Kiwanuka (DE), Steve Smith (WR), Dave Tollefson (DE), Gerris Wilkinson (LB), Chase Blackburn (LB) will garner more attention than the acquisition of a tackle. As an aside, it would be painful to bid adieu to Barry Cofield. He’s just entering his prime, though he could prove expensive, there’s no doubting his talent, but that a discussion for another day.
