Brandon Jacobs Live on WFAN…

Earlier this week Brandon Jacobs appeared live on Boomer and Carton on WFAN 660 AM here in New York City. You can listen to the full interview by clicking here.  Below are a couple of his key statements from the interview…

"“It’s up to them whether or not they want to boo. And that’s what they do,”  “No, I don’t take anything back I said about not caring.”"

Thought #1 from me: Brandon, the fans care and by saying you don’t take back anything you say, you are only hurting yourself. New York City is one of the greatest, if not the greatest sports town going. Our fan base is passionate and intelligent about football. However, you appear to be neither..

"“We don’t want to hear that,” Jacobs told Boomer & Carton. “We don’t want to hear anybody as we’re trying to work hard and play and overcome adversity as it is already. And they’re making it even harder for us to overcome our adversity when they do things like that.”"

Thought #2: See thought #1. Also, we wouldn’t boo if you averaged more than 2.9 yards per carry. Except for the catch in the first Eagles game, can someone tell me something positive Jacobs has done for the GIANTS this year?

"“I am misunderstood by a lot of people,” he added. “But that’s just life. That’s just the way things go.”"

Thought #3: How are you misunderstood? You open your mouth and say stupid stuff. If you produced on the field then the fan base probably wouldn’t misunderstand you. We understand you loud and clear: you think your awesome.

"“They’re great when you’re up … and they kick you when you’re down,” he said of Giants fans. “Right now, I don’t think we’re down. I went them to cheer for us. I want them to be, I want our stadium to be super loud when the offense is out on the field."

Thought #4: Dear Brandon-GIANTS fans are great 24/7. Try getting seats to a GIANTS game. However, we know when we have a lame duck running back who is single handily bringing down the entire franchise. Your toxic and that is why we kick you. Even though 6’6 your running game is more like that of a midget. We kick you because your wasting our hard earned money every time we watch you.

Your time has come and gone with the NY GIANTS. Consider it a blessing that your still starting this Monday night. At this point Scott should be seeing playing time over you. Once the number 27 results in a player being a bust. Sad…but true…
