After a disappointing break in the winning streak last week versus the Steelers, it’s important that this second half of the season the Giants get back in the winner’s circle. By clenching this week’s win the Giants will be one step closer to reserving a playoff spot without having to cram towards the end of the season to make up for losses. If you look at the rest of the schedule unfortunately our opponents will be the toughest yet.

The Bengals, Saints and Redskins are among the easier teams we play in the remaining seven games left of the season. The Bengals are in a position where they have lost their last 4 games and beating a team like Big Blue will boost their morale and possibly turn their season around. Despite their 3 and 5 record Cincinnati has similar statistics as compared to the Giants and the home field advantage this Sunday. Chase Blackburn will be coming back this week which is great news for Giants defense which was critiqued after the Steelers loss, most notably by Bengals’ A.J. Green who has called Gmen defense out as having “a lot of holes”. It’s time for the offense to forget last week and get back into the swing of things, obviously by spending more time in the end zone. If the Giants were to come up on the short end of the stick tomorrow they would have to take full advantage of the bye week and come in swinging against the Packers. Not to mention the last 3 days are against Atlanta (arguably the best team in the league right now), Baltimore and our beloved (sense my sarcasm) Eagles. Not to worry Giants fans, I have full confidence that our team will win this week and finish the end of the season strong with a playoff spot!
