Here is a quick look at the first half at MetLife Stadium:

The Eagles came out gambling right away by starting with a successful onsides kick to get the ball  from the Giants. However, safety Stevie Brown bailed the Giants out by intercepting Eagles quarterback Michael Vick on their opening drive and setting the Giants up for their first score on a Eli Manning play-action pass to Rueben Randle. Randle would score again on the Giants next drive with a sensational catch over Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on a beautifully thrown pass by Manning. The Giants would make it 21-0 on the aid of Manning’s 3rd td pass of  the 1st quarter for 15 yards to David Wilson. The Eagles showed signs of life on offense with a Michael Vick 7-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin to make the score 21-7.  However, the Giants offense has been basically unstoppable as they tacked on a touchdown run by Ahmad Bradshaw and then a Manning touchdown pass to Victor Cruz with a Salsa dance to top it off, giving the Giants a 35-7 halftime lead.

The Giants offensive line played exceptionally well in the first half, opening holes for the running game and giving Manning time to comfortably pass the football … On defense the Giants have been after Vick and appear to have some extra life in them today.

Bradshaw didn’t start today, however he was a gamechanger in the first half with 7 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Randle had 4 catches for 58 yards and a touchdown.

The Giants came into today knowing they needed to beat the Eagles today and also get plenty of help in order to make the playoffs. They are also playing for pride after struggling down the stretch of this season and they have come out playing inspired football against an Eagles team that looks like they can’t wait to end their nightmare season.
