Patriots Hernandez Lands in Jail

By now we all know the story of Aaron Hernandez and his one count of first degree murder and 5 subsequent gun related charges.  We also know he was denied bail.

Just one quick observation about the proceedings yesterday.  The argument his attorney made for bail I thought was a little off base and if I was the Judge would have been the reason I denied him his freedom.  His attorney pointed out that Hernandez was in a domestic partnership at the house and had his young son living there with him and he should be returned to them.  Returned to the place where he was seen walking around with guns? Returned to the place where he had a locked and loaded 33 round automatic weapon? Returned to the place where he thought it was O.K. to have his buddies and him going in and out at all hours of the morning?  I know his attorney needs to paint the best picture he can, but that seemed a little odd to me.

Hernandez will now spend his time in prison awaiting his trial which could take over a year to happen.
