5th round pick Cooper Taylor will finally get his chance tonight against the Patriots. This kid definitely has a story, surviving a serious heart condition and getting surgery for it while in college. Afterwards. he transferred from Georgia Tech to Richmond where he shined. With the loss of Stevie Brown for the season, Taylor may become an essential part of this defense. The Giants drafted him to be a safety/linebacker hybrid because of his size. At 6’4″ 228, he is a little big for a safety and a little small for a line backer, hopefully making him perfect to come up and play against the run and maybe keep up with the great tight ends in the game today.

Cooper Taylor has been out most of camp with a lingering hamstring injury but with Stevie going down, it is time for this hybrid safety to prove his worth. Will Hill will not count against the roster limit until week 4, so Taylor has today and hopefully until week 4 to show he belongs in a Blue uniform on Sunday.

Add him to my players to watch this week.
