Multiple reports are coming out this morning that the New York Giants have agreed to terms with fullback John Connor aka “The Terminator”.

This move comes at the same time that the Giants are believed to be moving incumbent fullback, Henry Hynoski, to IR after he suffered a shoulder injury against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
When I first learned of the severity of Hynoski’s injury, the first name that popped into my mind was John Connor, so I am elated with this move by the Giants.
Connor rose to fame when he was a member of the New York Jets and was dubbed “The Terminator” by head coach Rex Ryan due to the punishing nature of his blocks.
The former Jets fifth round pick lasted only two seasons in gang green after being cut last year due to struggles with injuries. He eventually signed on with the Cincinatti Bengals, but was a shell of his former self.
However, this season he came into camp healthy and had a very solid pre-season. In fact, many were surprised that he was cut by the Bengals.
The 5’11, 240 lb Connor will be an instant upgrade to the Giants woeful run blocking. He is also a very solid special teams contributor. I am excited for what Connor can bring to the table for the Giants, and the fact that a guy with his talent was still available at this point in the season is a huge plus for the GMEN.
