David Wilson (neck) is present at Giants practice, but he is not participating. The only surprising tidbit here is that he’s actually AT practice. The second-year back was lit up on the final play of the first quarter by the tandem of Cedric Thornton/Nate Allen and was subsequently done for the afternoon. He had scored his first touchdown of the season earlier in the quarter. Extremely unfortunate timing for Wilson who was finally finding his legs and comfort level within the offense.

Wilson is still awaiting further diagnosis and treatment planning, which means you won’t be seeing him on the field in Chicago on Thursday night. The Giants brought back Da’Rel Scott on Monday to split the workload with Brandon Jacobs until Wilson can resume football activities. Please, harness your hysteria over that one-two punch. The Bears have been installed as a 9.5-point favorite coming off back-to-back defeats.
