Line: Detroit Lions EVEN at Chicago Bears — O/U 53

A classic pick’em in this match-up of NFC North rivals. The Detroit Lions are coming off a bye week and a thrilling come from behind miracle victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The Lions are an above average team that has had some serious consistency issues this season. The Bears are coming off of a big victory at Green Bay with their back-up quarterback. However, they will be getting Jay Cutler back this weekend as he is returning sooner than most people originally believed from his severe groin injury. I am a little worried that Cutler is rushing back and will be less effective than Josh McCown, who was very impressive in his back-up duties, would actually be. Chicago’s defense is not as good as it’s been in the past and I believe they will have a hard time containing Calvin Johnson and Detroit’s high octane offense.

Prediction: Lions 35, Bears 31
