New York Giants -4.5 vs. Green Bay — O/U 42
The Giants rebuilt season hinges on defeating an undrafted, third-string quarterback. Historically, this is probably not their favorite spot. All year the Giants have stopped the run; can they put the clamps on Eddie Lacy? If they do, they will win the game. If not, they cede control of time of possession to Green Bay and give Scott Tolzien breathing room. The Packer secondary has been surprisingly vulnerable (17 touchdowns: three INT), which should equate to a return to the deep shot passing game. Better yet, establish Andre Brown and work downfield off the play-action. Clay Matthews will be sporting a “smaller club” on his hand this week — the Jints must block him. The weather for Sunday looks a whole lot more playable than last weekend. Overall, this game has an eery feel about it…
Prediction: 16-13 Green Bay
