The Redskins and Robert Griffin III came out firing on all cylinders.

Their first drive was no huddle the whole way down the field, a drive that ended with an Alfred Morris 1 yard run. 73 yards, 14 plays 7:06.

The first quarter ended with the Giants only having the ball for 3:22 and only gained 5 yards on offense.

Beginning of the 2nd quarter had Washington going capping off their drive with a 19 yard strike from RG3 to Paulsen for the TD putting the Skins up 14-0. 8 plays 59 yards 4:02. Rg3 was 12-12 up to this point.

The ensuing Giants drive had Hillis in the game, running for 8 and then 27 yards. Andre Brown finished it off with a 23 yard TD run making the score 14-7. 6 plays 74 yards 2:59.

Took the Giants 2 drives to get into the endzone again on a drive that showcased Eli Manning’s ability to pick apart a defense. There was a risky throw to Nicks who was blanketed by DeAngelo Hall, but Nicks wrestled it away for a 15 yard gain. Drive ended with Myers up the seam for 22 yards evening the score at 14 a piece. 9 plays 81 yards 2:59.

What needs to happen:

Eli needs to keep it up. 10-12 for 101 and 1. Continue to be smart and shred the poor secondary.

Giants have 71 yards on the ground between their two runningbacks. I like the strategy, spelling Brown with Hillis, especially on 3rd down. Keep doing that.

Watch Brian Orakpo. Beatty has been getting beat all game.
