Flashback: 4 plays that haunted the Giants season
By Adam Ganeles
Play #3 | Week 6 at Chicago | Loose at the seam
Standing at 0-5 and in obvious desperate need of a victory, the Giants were in position to erase a 13-point deficit with two minutes on the clock. 2nd and 9 at the Chicago 35: the offense is clicking with balance… the awkward zero in the W column will finally be replaced by a whole number. Sigh. Manning tries to hit the slow assimilating Brandon Myers on one of the key routes in Jints lore — the tight end up the seam. Myers is open, but a slightly overthrown pass grazes off his fingertips and into the waiting hands of Bears cornerback Tim Jennings. The Giants fell short despite racking up 6.7 yards per play, 1.6 YPP above their season average. World of hurt.
