With week 17 in the books, the Giants scheduled opposition/location for 2014 is now set. Their ten foes outside of the NFC East include: the NFC West (entire division), the AFC South (entire) and a straggler each from the NFC South and NFC North.
Home:
Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons.
Road:
Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions.
Upon initial glance, this looks like a potentially rough slate of games for a 7-9 team. The Cardinals were a 10-win non-playoff team; the Texans tanked but are a QB short of competing; the Lions boast game altering talent on both sides; the Rams are a dangerous home team with a pass rush; the Jaguars are building a new culture with Gus Bradley. Due to roster changeover, however, team assessments at this stage serve little function. Let’s just say the Giants caught some up-and-comers.
