In a recent rumor, the Giants are apparently seeking the services of another Raider player — Tracy Porter. While Porter is still relatively young at 27, his years in the league have been inconsistent to say the least.
Sometimes he will make a clutch Super Bowl winning interception against one of the best quarterbacks of all time, but he can also get consistently burned and produce a terrible statistical season, as he did in 2013.
According Pro Football Focus, he was ranked as the number 105 cornerback…out of 110 ranked players. That is bad. Very bad.
While the Giants are probably intrigued by the potential he provides, he did flash at times as the Raiders’ #1 corner, he is not consistent enough to be brought onto a team that is aiming for Super Bowl aspirations.
Tracy Porter is visiting the #Giants tonight, according to a source. Played well for the #Raiders last year

Yes, he did play well sometimes, but he also played terrible at times.
