Toby Gerhart, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Toby Gerhart is done being a backup. It’s hard to look all that impressive when you play on the same team as Adrian Peterson – let alone directly behind him. Gerhart has still managed to do so in spurts, though, exhibiting a tough, physical running style, as well as soft, reliable hands as a receiver out of the backfield. Thanks to his refined skill-set and willingness to block when his team is passing, Gerhart has landed a starting gig with the Jaguars. Head coach Gus Bradley landed his (very) poor man’s version of Marshawn Lynch, but regardless now has a downhill runner who won’t shy away from contact and physically should be able to handle a full load. Already expected to shoot for 15-20 touches per game, Gerhart has fantasy sleeper written all over him.
