The annual meeting of NFL coaches was held yesterday morning. In addition to discussion of new league rules and other banter, the compensatory picks were doled out for the NFL draft. 13 Teams received picks for this year’s draft, including our very own New York Giants who have been compensated with a 5th rounder.

Last year the Giants lost Martellus Bennett, Chase Blackburn, Domenik Hixon and Osi Umenyiora to free agency. On paper, it may not seem like a lot, but they lost their starting TE and best pass rusher.

The players they gained — Josh Brown, Ryan Mundy, and Brandon Myers — did not quite live up to expectations or contribute in an impactful way for the most part.
