Allergy season is underway, which can mean only one thing — football season is right around the corner. In technical terms it’s already arrived in East Rutherford.
The NFL offseason schedule is divided into three phases: voluntary workout program, Organized Team Activities and Mandatory minicamp. The former starts in earnest today, as Giants players return to Quest Diagnostics Training Center to begin the physical prep work for a nine-month grind. Team strength and conditioning (rehabilitation) will run from April 21st to May 4th, followed by offense/defense on-field workouts from May 5th to May 26th. Five sets of OTA’s will commence on May 28th.
