Felix’s Take: While St. Louis has rumored interest in QB Johnny Manziel, I’m not convinced they’ll bail on Sam Bradford just yet, nor use this selection for a passer with question marks in terms of durability, attitude and pro-style compatibility. Watkins is the clear top wide receiver in many analysts minds, and adding weaponry for Bradford’s return is key with no true #1 option in their passing game. Nabbing Watkins adds a well-rounded receiver, who can not only become the top wideout on the team, but he will help open up the offense for last year’s first round pick Tavon Austin. Austin could be placed in more “Y” receiver roles and divert focus.
