According to a report from Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post, the NFL will not choose the Giants to appear on “Hard Knocks” this summer (beginning April 26th). The Giants were one of eight finalists, but apparently a “handful” of other teams volunteered to be covered by HBO cameras. The league is still prepping for a final decision.
If this report indeed becomes official, all those associated with the Jints will breathe a sigh of relief — from ownership to coaches to players to the fan base.
In other team access news, however, the Giants have been shockingly willing and engaged. For the first time in franchise history, they will be one of 16 clubs with NFL Network cameras in their draft war room. This is definitely an outside-the-box approach for a franchise that has kept all personnel information under lock and key for as long as time itself.
Are the Giants adjusting to this new era of reality TV-type content? Slowly but surely… to a point. A point that ensures professional conduct.
