After establishing rookie contracts with Andre Williams and Nat Berhe this past Friday, the Giants doubled their efforts with a four-pack of draft signings today.
The team announced that WR Odell Beckham Jr. (1st round), C Weston Richburg (2nd round), LB Devon Kennard (5th round) and CB Bennett Jackson (6th round) are all officially members of Big Blue.
Financial details on Beckham Jr.’s deal have not yet been disclosed. Forbes estimated that he’s set to earn a total salary of $10,406,198 — with the Giants holding the option for his fifth year. UPDATE: Andrew Brandt reports the deal is worth roughly $10.3 million with $5.89 million signing bonus.
Ironically, third-rounder Jay Bromley, who was “shopping” and in “disbelief” when selected in round 3, is now the lone remaining Giants 2014 draft pick not under contract. Expect the Giants’ to seal the deal and complete their draft hexagon in short order.
On a related note, the Giants are $3.9 million under the salary cap according to the NFL Players Association. They will get another $5 million back as of June 1st when David Baas’ contract comes off the books.
