Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
Seven former NFL greats will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame this evening. Historic Giants sack master Michael Strahan spearheads the list, which also includes: WR Andre Reed, LB Derrick Brooks, DE Claude Humphrey, OT Walter Jones, CB Aeneas Williams and P Ray Guy.
Like most Hall of Fame heroes to have come before him, Strahan is expecting his emotions to run wild on the sport’s grandest stage:
"“I kind of walked through the stadium and pictured standing on the stage with everybody sitting in those seats,” Strahan said. “It might be a little tough (Saturday night). But I am not going to be the first one to crack, I guarantee you that. Because I am the last one to speak.”"
Additionally, it’s been made public within the past 24 hours that Strahan and his fiancee, Nicole Murphy, have called off their engagement with the Hall of Fame imminent. Strange times indeed for the gridiron star turned celebrity host. One thing is for certain — Strahan will always have the love and support of Giants Nation.
For those fans unable to make the trip down to Canton this evening, the induction ceremony will be shown live on dueling television networks, plus an online streaming option is available.
